A. Kidneys, ureter, urinary bladder and urethra.

9. Why should we drink plenty of water?

A. Water helps in proper digestion and urine formation.

10. What is the role of kidney, skin, lungs and liver in excretion?

A. 1. Kidney: It filter the blood and remove the waste in the form of urine.

    2. Skin: It removes excess salt and waste in the form of sweat.

    3. Lungs: It removes carbon dioxide from the body.

    4. Liver: It breaks down harmful substance in to mostly harmless substance.

11. Explain what happens to the food we eat in the intestines.

A. Small intestine: The digested food is absorbed into the blood.

    Large intestine: Water is absorbed from the food and undigested food is removed as faeces.
