1. Differentiate between material heritage and non material heritage . Give examples. 

Ans. Material heritage –   The heritage that we      can touch.  Eg – monuments,  statues. 

Non material heritage  – The heritage that we cannot touch.  Eg – music , stories. 

2. Write two to three sentences about 

A. Sanchi stupa  – it is in Madhya Pradesh. It is over 2000 years old. It has 4 gateways called toranas.

B. Tajmahal  – It is in Agra. It is a monument built in white marble. It was built by Shah  Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal .

C. Konark sun temple  – It is in Odisha.It is over 700 years old. It is a famous temple for the hindu god Surya.

3. Why should we know about our heritage  ?

Ans. We should know about our heritage because it helps us to know more about people who lived before us.
