Patriotism is a
strong feeling for the country , which can be instilled during childhood days.
Indian flag was hoisted in the senior
school, on that day . Special assembly was conducted in the junior & senior
schools and the great contributions of India’s great freedom fighters were remembered.
In order to make the foundations of Flowers ,in the best way for the little angels, a flower day was organized. Flower Prince and Flower Princes were honoured in this function.
Our school hosted a sport event of CISCE North Zone, for the first time ,in the history of the school. School campus was decked up to receive participants from far and wide ICSE/ISC schools of Malabar region. We lifted 1st runner up trophy, in this ASISC North Zone Kho-Kho Tournament -2019
Students are divided into 4 houses; diamond, emerald, ruby & sapphire. House wise screening is conducted. Winners of each event(Group events and individual events) were honoured with awards. Varnotsav, our cultural fest , had given a huge platform for performing arts / visual arts , for growing artists/writers/ orators etc…. This event was inaugurated by musician Mr. Deepankuran Kaithapram.
The investiture ceremony for the academic year 2019 -20 was held on 24th June. The school held election for the first time in the history of St.Mary’s school where the students could elect their Head Boy and Head Girl. All the members of the student council were given sash and badges by the Chief Guest, Mr Jose George IPS. The Principal, Rev. Sr Anice administered the oath to the newly elected members of the school cabinet. She reminded them that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take up the responsibility with commitment and integrity .
Toppers of the ICSE and ISC of the academic year 2018-19 were also felicitated, in the presence of their parents. The winners of Kerala Prince & Princess competition also were felicitated.
Our school has taken care and academic calendar is set to give opportunities for developing all skills. After school co-curricular activities are conducted, systematically, for the same purpose.
Election of school cabinet (student office bearers)
This year, for
the first time in the history of our school, we had election to choose head boy
and head girl. There were 3 nominees for head girl and two for head boy.
To commemorate the memory of father of library movement Mr. P.N. Panicker of Kerala, along with the state Kerala we organized book fair and reading day.
